Farm Wisdom

Posted on February 17, 2012 by When the River Rose

(This anecdote doesn’t appear in When the River Rose.)

Our family has a dairy farm in Middlesex. Many of our cornfields were hit, from Waterbury to Montpelier.

My husband’s grandmother said, “Somedays I’d like to be discouraged, but I know I don’t have the option.”
